Questions?

What is the dress code?

Autumnal semi-formal: You can wear colorful dresses of any length. A light suit or similar is recommended; tie optional. Before the event, casual clothes are recommended for pre-festivities on site.

Can I bring my +1?

Regrettably, due to space constraints, we are only able to accommodate the guests named on the invitation.

Are children allowed?

This event is mainly for adults.
You will be notified if your child(ren) can join.

Is parking available on-site?

Yes, there will be enough parking to accommodate everyone.

Things to do before the ceremony?

Whidbey Island beautifully captures the spirit of the Pacific Northwest. We recommend arriving a day early to fully enjoy the area. From stunning hiking views and water adventures to unique shops, delicious food, and charming breweries and wineries, Whidbey offers something for everyone.

For our personal recommendations, we suggest checking out our explore page.

Where are the ceremony and reception taking place?

The ceremony and reception will take place outdoors at lovely Captain Whidbey. We hope for warm, fall days filled with joy, but as evening sets in, it may get chilly. And since it’s Washington, a little rain shower could surprise us—so please bring something to keep you cozy and dry.

Where can I stay?

Due to limited capacity, not all guests will be able to stay at the Captain Whidbey. We will contact those who are staying on the property directly (by the end of January) to coordinate room assignments and provide instructions on how to book their rooms.

If you haven’t received an on-site lodging invitation, don’t fret! There are plenty of charming and quaint places available just minutes away.

We’ve put together a list of local recommendations on our travel page to help you find the perfect spot for the weekend getaway.

But what about the Georgia game?

We’re all Dawgs at heart. Just because it’s a wedding weekend doesn’t mean you have to miss the action. We’ll have a small TV set up on-site so you can sneak away to cheer on the team. Love is important—but so is the SEC.

I like you guys, but I think I like Zelda more?

Yeah, us too. We are hoping that The Ma’am may be able to grace us with an appearance at some point over the weekend.
